About Peter Grant

Peter has over twenty years in Program and Project management; representing vendor and client organisations. Peter has a proven track record in innovation and the successful management of projects, and programs of work - ranging from small projects, to complex multi-vendor projects, and virtual projects. This experience is coupled with a strong interest and background in the practice of program and project management in organisations as well as experience in managing teams and in decision making under stressful conditions. Typical of this experience, Peter has managed a number of projects including: • Managing the interactions arising from the introduction of nbn and the transition of copper-based resources from Telstra to nbn. Providing access to advanced graphic-based toolsets to manage the design and utilisation of duct space within Telstra’s infrastructure for third-party organisations. • Implementation of a shared services environment supporting call centre operations and outsourcing such centres; • Implementation of a cloud-based Learning Management system for a professional association; • Technology integration projects (hardware, software and services) sourced from multiple suppliers and across a variety of technologies; • Development of a Project Management Office and creation of a project management culture; • Business Process Change Management; and • Cost Reduction / Continuous Improvement exercises. Peter has a passion for development of the profession and is a certified PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), and Managing Successful Programs (MSP) Practitioner. Peter was a member of the PMI International team that developed the PMI Standard for Program Management, 2nd edition. In additon to his professional skills and experience, Peter’s background includes many years as a Country Fire Authority volunteer with roles as Deputy Incident Controller, Operations Officer, Group Officer and Brigade Captain
