About Peter Greenhalgh

I’m a career technologist in the technology industry, with specialism in CPU and experience leading technology development teams across CPU, GPU, Machine Learning, System-IP and System Architecture.My early career was focussed on CPU design & implementation, in particular low-power and high-performance design on CPUs that have been deployed in mobile phones, cloud server, safety critical automotive, 5G networking and industrial IoT. My CPU roles have ranged across individual design & implementation to leading two highly successful CPU developments (Cortex-A7 and Cortex-A53) as well as developing an industry changing technology in big.LITTLE, which has been adopted or emulated by the majority of the technology industry.My career has evolved to leading large cross-discipline technology teams, creating and delivering technology to meet business needs over multiple years. I have extensive experience of the commercial side of the technology business, from partner relationships going back more than 10-years, contract development with legal teams, sales team support and familiarity with trade compliance.In my current role I lead Arm’s Central Technology team. My team is responsible for Arm’s CPU, GPU, Machine Learning, System-IP and System Architecture product technology. I and my team work closely with both the engineering teams and the Client, Infrastructure, IoT and Automotive business lines to deliver innovative roadmaps across all markets.
