About Peter Grey

Currently beginning employment as an Intelligence Analyst with the London Metropolitan Police Service. Previously completed training in Forensic Psychology (MSc) at Newcastle University- this involved offender theory, risk assessments, and case formulations. Further areas I am developing with this training include statistical/data analysis, investigative techniques, and legal psychology. Experienced in statistics and data analysis, particularly familiar with the SPSS and 'R with RStudio' statistical coding programs. Also graduated from the University of St. Andrews with a First Class BSc Psychology degree. This provided me with a British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited grounding in all core areas of Psychology, statistics, and research design. During this time I also participated in a University of St. Andrews research internship investigating processes of human visual perception. My undergraduate dissertation 'The Risk-Need-Responsivity model of sex offender rehabilitation: A meta-analysis' was particularly useful in affording me statistical meta-analysis experience, whilst additionally developing my 'R with RStudio' competency and independent research skills. Beyond research and academia, I have four years (2019-23) seasonal experience in retail and customer service as a Sales Assistant at Brocksbushes Farm Shop and Tearoom and multiple years experience in volunteering both with the National Trust and as part of the National Citizen Service programme.
