About Peter Han

With a background encompassing information security, security risk, account management, and systems engineering for Goldman Sachs, the International and Commercial Bank of China, and the Federal Reserve System, I have a well-developed ability to execute comprehensive cybersecurity strategies by leveraging a broad perspective of the financial services industry. I’ve led a range of projects that have required the ability to cultivate strategic relationships, demonstrate exceptional business acumen, and create scalable solutions. For example: Developing robust risk identification and mitigation dashboards for Goldman’s Asset and Wealth Management division — providing internal stakeholders with KRI and KPI metrics. Thycotic PAM solution implementation — led project that included designing system security controls and policy configurations, authorization and access accounts workflow, and disaster recovery plan. Leading bi-weekly, cross-functional risk management meetings for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Wholesale Product Office, focused on designing mitigation strategies for project risks we had identified. I have worked extensively in regulatory compliance, leveraging my organizational skills, ability to foster cross-functional collaboration, and leadership skills. In my current role, I resolved approximately Federal Reserve findings in just six months. As an Information Security Risk Analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, I developed a process to identify and format risk in a risk register. As a virtual CTO through Richard Fleishman & Associates (RFA) in collaboration with clients’ senior leadership, I consulted on issues surrounding business continuity and technology investment — ensuring my client operated on best practices in IT, maintained up-to-date documentation, and received proper training. I am at my best when presented with an ambitious goal or chaotic situation, as my ability to create effective processes and bring structure allows me to thrive. I enjoy the intellectual challenge of tackling seemingly impossible problems — and bringing the right people to the table to collaborate on solving those problems. When I’m not working, you will find me either watching sports (especially basketball and soccer) or playing chess or poker — in either case, I enjoy teasing out the strategy needed to be successful.
