About Peter Hanson

Having worked for B-Three Solutions, Inc. since 2006 (and years before that with the same core group of people), I value commitment, stability, trust, and loyalty. I strive to embody these qualities in every client engagement. As a well-seasoned full stack software developer, I bring knowledge and expertise to every project I undertake. From an eye for manipulating pixels to building the underlying base architecture, comprehending the whole drives my daily work. With a focus on best practices, my story is one of client satisfaction and long tenures. With a strong foundation in object-oriented third generation languages (C#, Java) and extensive experience with scripting languages and libraries (JavaScript, jQuery, Knockout, Kendo UI, TypeScript, React), I develop and implement successful software applications and systems across various industries. Learning new domain knowledge always piques my interest. But my first love was data. It all begins with data. As a database programmer, I have learned and lived the language of SQL from Oracle and PL/SQL, SQL Server and T-SQL, to MySQL. One must be careful with constructing queries and I deeply enjoy tuning troublesome ones. I suppose I would have been happy as a DBA… ETL, OLTP, BI, OLAP, DWH: the acronyms of my professional life in data. The technical aspects of my experience are solid. However, my communication abilities (so oddly referred to as “soft skills”) set me apart. I excel at client interaction, leading to productive relationships and extended contracts. As a senior developer, I have had the gratifying opportunity to mentor and guide junior developers, helping them grow and develop their skills, just as I was mentored and guided. I enjoy what I do and enjoy who I do it with. As our president once said of our company: smart people writing cool software.
