About Peter Hemsch

I came to the Air Force after a career in the U.S. Foreign Service, focused on defense and security issues- Government Relations: Extensive experience in U.S. executive branch and with foreign governments, and some experience with U.S. Congress. Built interagency stakeholder consensus. Developed win-win solutions with foreign partners- Military Expertise: Created working groups and led teams connecting the interagency and U.S. military on issues of defense and national security throughout East Asia and in Saudi Arabia and Iraq- Many of my assignments have been in East Asia. I have also done stints working on South and Central Asia, the Middle East, Canada, and Latin America. My work involved vetting and overseeing the sale and transfer of $20+ billion in U.S-origin defense technology. I enjoy working with teams and on processes to deliver improved results- At the National Defense University, my team conducted the Aerospace Industry Study.
