About Peter Hierz

My professional career has for over 20 years been centred within the medical sciences, having used the knowledge acquired through the course of my studies at University of Vienna as a launchpad to work in the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors. Upon completion of my studies, my professional trajectory began as a sales representative for Sebia in clinical chemistry for protein analysis. My multilingual abilities (English, French, German, and Italian) enabled me to progress rapidly on to their international division, where I was responsible for sales management of our European distributors for these medical laboratory instruments and reagents. I subsequently joined Fresenius Kabi in their immuno-transplantation division, where as Medical Scientific Liaison and Senior Product Manager, I had responsibility for the sales of a polyclonal antibody in France. I worked with each of the University hospitals in France, and more specifically with the Professors in charge of the transplant units (bone marrow, kidney, heart, lungs). More recently, I was involved in a project to launch a start-up company Lutetia Biotech, for producing an Anti-Body Drug conjugate as a cancer therapy. As one of the co-founders, I was responsible for the business plan and business development. After which I worked as a part time consultant for a hygienics auditing company, Unipharm Wien, where I was performing mainly administrative tasks. Subsequently I took on a role as more of a transition manager, I assisted in the restructure of the company Outpost Original in financial difficulties during Covid-19, working as their consultant. Today I am working as a “BtoB” business developer in the recruitment agency WyMee specialised in IT, as well as senior and middle management roles. I am responsible for the pharmaceutical and more broadly the medical market.
