About Peter Hill

My main activity centers on serving as a non executive director to a number of oil and gas companies, both public and private. I am active as Vice Chairman with Nine Point Energy, the privately held company that emerged from the bankruptcy of Triangle Petroleum USA in March 2017. We are an operated producer in the Bakken, North Dakota. I sit as Non Executive Chairman of Samson Oil and Gas, a small public company that seeks organic growth in bypassed oil in mature, Rockies Basins. I am an independent director and was from January to September 2016 the Interim CEO of a private oil and gas company, Pardus( formerly ENXP ) as it emerged from a Chapter 11 bankruptcy.The company production needed to be stabilized, processes established and the assets better understood and developed I took on the role of Interim CEO and President of Midstates Petroleum Corporation( MPO on NYSE ) in March 2013 to help the company redefine itself and works through its financial and structural difficulties associated with $1.73bn of debt and limited liquidity. I stood down in March 2015, and left the board as I felt I had achieved all that could be done strategically and operationally.The company needs a comprehensive debt solution and specialist financial reconstruction leadership. Production had grown 33% to over boepd from the Miss Lime and Anadarko Basin, and costs reduced 26%. Reserves grew 58% to 175mmboe. The Houston office was closed, and Tulsa strengthened and sufficient liquidity and debt covenants provided for 2015. Time to move on. I continue to be passionate about the oil and gas industry, and seek additional board seats and advisory roles. I also enjoy family, tennis, golf and fly fishing.
