About Peter Hilts

I am a natural leader who isn't afraid to diagnose,innovate, evaluate and adjust. I believe in the mantra of Jim Collins and Jerry Porras that leaders who are "Built to Last""try a lot of stuff and keep what works." Whether leading a district or facilitating a planning session for a consulting client, I am passionate about helping people overcome internal obstacles to accomplish their objectives. Because unconventional approaches create new combinations of accountability and autonomy, charter and innovation schools are a fantastic incubator for creative leadership. I am proud and pleased to lead in a district that hosts all the most promising segments of the educational industry. Specialties: In addition to my expertise leading traditional and charter schools, I am a multi-certified trainer and facilitator using a variety of group and team processes to help teams avoid the trap of low performance. I have supported schools, non-profits and corporations in 35 countries, 14 states and countless school districts and communities.
