I am a successful Product Control, Finance and Market Risk senior executive with a broad experience in both line and project / change management. Businesses covered include Complex Derivatives (fixed income, equity and credit), Security Financing and Gilt Repo, Structured Transactions and Asset and Liability Management (ALM). As Head of Product Control I have been a driving force in strengthening the control environment around P/L production, attribution and reconciliation to the GL with significant focus on documentation and ensuring that performance of controls can be evidenced. My responsibilities have also included price testing and validation, significantly increasing the coverage to include all fair valued positions across ALM as well as the trading businesses. Project / change management has included: • System readiness for purchase of ~300 branches from another bank. • Numerous Front Office system migrations. • Basis curves implementation. • CVA and DVA implementation • Prudent Valuation Adjustment calculation. • Legal entity migrations between different countries. • Compliance with new regulations e.g. Dodd Frank, Basel Risk Data Aggregation • Risk Control Self Assessment. • Introduction of stressed VAR maximizer. • SABR volatility model implementation. • End to end management reporting tool. • Account ownership and reconciliation process. • Operating model review and team restructuring. • Significant investigations into historic GL breaks. I have regularly presented at various Committees and Forums with the presence of Senior Board members.
