About Peter Hoolihan

I am a solicitor experienced in property, planning, building, construction and environmental law. I specialise in Commonwealth Government leasing, procurement, divestment, construction and complex property arrangements for both federal and state government entities, sophisticated commercial clients and high net worth individuals. I have advised on significant infrastructure developments, large scale leasing and fitout arrangements, and Commonwealth acquisition and disposal matters across all jurisdictions in Australia, including many of its external territories. I am a member of the Property Council of Australia ACT Planning and Residential Committee. I have advised on and participated in the review of changes to significant property and planning legislation and polices, including the Commonwealth Property Management Disposal Policy, the Unit Titles Legislation amendment Bill 2019 (ACT) and the Planning Act 2023 (ACT). I was admitted to the Supreme Court of the ACT in 2016 and the High Court of Australia in 2017. I am the current Chair of the not-for-profit youth arts organisation, Canberra Youth Theatre, and have a strong connection to the arts sector.
