About Peter Horan

Head of Development at Samson Films, managing a diverse slate of Film and TV projects. Graduated in 2021 with a First-Class Honours in English Literature and Film Studies (Gold Medal) from Trinity College Dublin, having completed internships with Hat Trick Productions, all3media, Buccaneer Media, and Acorn Media in London and Platinum Films in Pinewood Studios. Named Features Writer of the Year at the 2020 Smedia Awards for work with TN2 Magazine, The University Times, and the Trinity Film Review (Deputy Editor). Co-hosted an award-winning radio show and produced a short film which was screened as part of the First Frames initiative at the 2020 Dublin International Film Festival. Worked as a reader for Screen Ireland, Yellow Film & TV, Treasure Entertainment, Subotica, and Atom Films in 2021/22, after completing Screen Skills’ intensive Script Reading course. Joined Samson at the start of 2022 as a Production and Development Assistant, gaining credits as a Skills Development Officer and Research Assistant on various feature film and television productions, before moving into current role.
