About Peter Horvath

I am a physicist with several years of experience in experiment design, construction of experimental apparatus, computer-controlled measurement systems and data analysis. With 28 years of programming experience in different languages I am also interested in computer modelling. As a design engineer I used Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology and played an essential role in the development of GE's most recent world-class ceramic metal halide lamp called CMH Precise. As a data scientist/quantitative developer at Morgan Stanley I developed data processing and cleaning algorithms and implemented financial models in different programming languages. My main interests are- Instrumentation, experiment construction - Mass Spectrometry, Glow Discharges, Plasma Technology - New product development, R&D - Numerical computer modeling - Data analysis, model construction, statistics I strongly believe that scientific knowledge and methods should be used in all industrial research and product development in order to improve product performance and shorten development cycles.
