About Peter Huynh

My rehabilitation approach is one of continuous improvement. My hopes are to stay in this profession for the long run, eventually providing positive impact to it as a whole. The majority of my experience takes place practicing PT in 1 on 1 settings where my patients can get attention and instant feedback when they need. I heavily consider biopsychosocial factors, accessibility to time and equipment, unique goals, a thorough understanding of medical history, and regular sources of stress for each of my patients. Listening and emotional responsiveness are underrated aspects of the therapeutic experience that I believe are essential.I am a resident of the Ola Grimsby Institute, which is well known for developing excellent manual therapists. In addition to manual therapy, I have skills to treat a large variety of complex conditions requiring the use of pain neuroscience education, graded motor imagery, scientific therapeutic exercise progressions (S.T.E.P.), and knowledge on the interdependence of varying body regions. I draw from a number of influences including Shirley Sahrmann, the Postural Restoration Institute, Selective Functional Movement Assessment, and the Gray Institute. I am trained and equipped to provide blood flow restriction training to enhance the training effect of exercise for my patients when indicated.My learning interests within physical therapy as of late have been completing coursework in manual therapy, restoring abdominal wall function, motor control, and clinical applications of neuroscience.
