About Peter J. Scalgione

Since receiving my civil engineering degree from TCNJ in 2017, I have been a full-time employee at Lane Engineering Consulting, PC, where I specialize in building restoration and engineering consulting. My work mostly takes place in New York City and my area of expertise is in building exteriors and waterproofing. I have designed and supervised dozens of roof replacement projects across NYC, ranging from flat roofs (mainly) to hip and gable roofs. I have worked with many different roofing manufacturer’s products ranging from Siplast, Soprema, and Kemper and have built great relationships with representatives from each manufacturing company. My greatest area of business and knowledge is in building exterior restoration. The New York City Department of Buildings requires all buildings 6 stories or higher to have extensive exterior hands-on inspections every 5 years. Hands-on inspections include inspections from hanging scaffolds or a boom lift truck. I perform these inspections regularly and provide our client with a comprehensive list of items they must address within a specified timeframe. I have performed and supervised hundreds of exterior repair projects in NYC, with buildings ranging from 4 stories to 101 stories. These buildings consist of different kinds of structural frames and exterior wall types. I am in constant communication with the NYC Department of Buildings and Landmarks Preservation Commission to get these projects completed and to keep buildings, and pedestrians safe.
