Peter J. Wilborn

Background

About Peter J. Wilborn

My name is Peter J. Wilborn and I am a public servant with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Before returning to school to finish my education, I ended my service as a TEFL (Teaching English As A Foreign Language) Teacher as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Comoros and was a sectional manager at a nationwide nonprofit focused on COVID relief. Both of these experiences have given me a wide range of experiences and the ability to work in many environments. I am a motivated individual who seeks to further myself through experience and new connections. In line with my experiences, I have always made sure to ask the question, “How will my worldview change?”, before I do anything, hoping that I may be better prepared to work in any capacity that I can from a domestic and wider global perspective. I have a specific focus in emergency policy analysis, human security and national social studies. With these academic focuses, I am hoping to contribute to the fields of disaster and management policy analysis, human security and impact studies.
