About Peter Jaric

Dear recruiters - I am not currently interested in work outside the Uppsala area in Sweden. This resumé is written in English, but I will hopefully rewrite it in Swedish as soon as possible. It would make more sense, since I am Swedish and I am looking for jobs in Sweden- I am an experienced developer who has worked with many different software technologies and languages over the years. Since 2009 I have been working as a web developer in an agile team at Uppsala University. I co-organize Uppsala.js and I run the JavaScript Misdirection Contest. My background is in Java, but currently I also focus on web development and JavaScript. I have coded JavaScript for 5 years and Java for more than 10 years. During my career I have also programmed C++, PHP, Perl, Python and several other languages. I am always looking for new languages to learn. Trying out new programming languages and technologies has always motivated me, because it so interesting and, to be honest, fun. I am a very good team player; I share what I know and I continuously try to inspire my team. I enjoy working in new projects, especially since I learn quickly and can get productive in a short period of time. When I can, I use my free time for various programming-related projects. I try out new stuff, build things and generally try to stay current. Mostly because I like it so much, but also because I think it is something all programmers need to do continuously. The last two years I have learned web application security, and I have participated in bug bounty hunting, the pursuit to find security holes in exchange for rewards. For this I have been recognized by Google, Microsoft and Nokia, among others. I use what I have learned to help other teams at work to secure their web applications.
