About Peter Jarowski

Dr. Jarowski was born in the City, County and State of New York in New York Hospital. He graduated (B. Sc. in Chemistry) from New York University (NYU)(2001) where he had worked with Prof. David I. Schuster. There he was awarded the Isazore Rubiner Award for Excellence in Chemical Research. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Jarowski left New York (finally) for Los Angeles to obtain his Ph. D.(2006) at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) working with both Profs. K. N. Houk and M. A. Garcia-Garibay in the field of theoretical and computational chemistry. His work was funded, in part, by an American Chemical Society, Organic Division Fellowship. After obtaining his Ph. D. Dr. Jarowski quit Los Angeles for Zurich, Switzerland, to do a postdoctoral stay in the laboratories of Prof. Dr. François Diederich at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule. At the ETH he turned to experimental synthetic and physical organic chemistry. After this, Dr. Jarowski began his independent career in the direction of molecular and supramolecular computational and experimental design employing the techniques of physical organic chemistry with an emphasis on optoelectronics. The strategy involved novel experimental organic synthesis and solution-phase characterization in conjunction with related and stand-alone computational projects. Dr. Jarowski left Academia to co-found ChemAlive SA towards to total computational prediction of any chemical reaction. The company efforts integrate Dr. Jarowski's deep knowledge of theory with his understanding of the needs of experimental chemists to achieve reliable predictions without the hassle of the technical aspects of computational chemistry. The company now serves automated high level quantum chemistry to a variety of chemical industrial sectors as well education and deploy machine learning and big data to return quantum chemistry accuracy in seconds rather than days.
