About Peter Jelkeby

A background with over 30 years of experience with leadership positions throughout the retail value chain within the global consumer goods industry. From trading to retail, in both emerging as well as established, specifically with 10 years’ experience trading and sourcing in emerging markets (Russia, Asia) followed by 20 years of various senior retail positions on the European and Nordic market gaining a strong retail competence with international focus. Currently working with IKEA Group as Country Retail Manager and Chief Sustainability Officer. Also actively serving as Chairman at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in the UK, which provides a platform for entrepreneurs and businesses within the Swedish-British business community. As CSO, it is importance to have a responsibility to look after each other and the planet we live on, so being part of a company that is committed to having a positive impact on the world is something I am very proud of. My role as both Country Retail Manager and Chief Sustainability Officer ensures I can keep the planet at the forefront of our approach and I am determined to not just bring along our co-workers and partners, but also our customers in the journey to becoming more people and planet positive.
