About Peter Jelley

I started my working life by joining the British army immediately after finishing secondary education. I served with 3 RHA in Cyprus, Iraq, Canada and various exercises within Europe and with 29 Commando regiment RA on a fire support team where during service within 3 Commando brigade I was both Commando and military parachute trained completing exercises within the UK, Norway and operations in Afghanistan. Having left the army I worked for Drum Cussac as a Team leader of an armed security team completing risk assessments, giving security briefings to ships captains and crews which included training them to deal with armed attack and hijacking. More recently I am a serving police constable within the Metropolitan police, I have completed roles in an emergency response team, proactive violence suppression unit and reactive CID. I have experience in dealing with high risk offenders, dynamic violent public order situations and the planning and execution of warrants. Currently I am a Taser instructor having completed the National Taser Instructors Course.
