About Peter Jurich

First off, thank you for taking the time to read my profile! As a collaborative technical writer with 4 years of experience, I have developed a passion for creating clear and concise documentation that helps users understand complex systems. I believe that representation matters and diversity is a strength, so I always work with inclusion and accessibility in mind. In my current role as a technical writer at Genentech, I am responsible for creating training materials, slide decks, content, and documentation for the workflows that result in life-saving medications. I specialize in using narrative storytelling to explain technical concepts in simple language that is easy to understand for both technical and non-technical users. I have received recognition for my work, including the "Best Article" award at Planet Forward's Storyfest competition. In addition to my technical writing skills, I have experience in project management, change management, editing, content strategy, and video production. I have successfully led cross-functional teams and managed documentation projects from start to finish in asynchronous environments. My long-term career goal is to mentor other writers to improve their skills at a remote-first SaaS company. In my free time, I enjoy learning about new technologies, making short films and performing in plays. I have a Master's degree in Life Sciences Communication from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
