About Peter Kirring

Happy to see you. I’m Peter. A father of two, a husband of one. I have a background as country manager and in profit-and-loss management of business units. I’m good at that, but I have also been involved in several start-ups and self-employed for a number of years. I turned to lecturing convinced it would be easy money and few hours. I was wrong. But I got hooked on combining my real-world experience with my knowledge of trends and developments within innovation and digital marketing, to create an impact on young adults kick-starting their careers. My students know me for my focus on usability and applicability - both in the way I teach and in how I help them push their solutions forward. My colleagues know me as a team player who go the extra mile, but also one who question “that’s how we’ve always done things“. I will rather try something new than to repeat myself. I'm at home in front of an audience and I talk a lot. But I prefer to listen – I don’t learn when I repeat myself. I’m a Dane by birth, but attended university in the UK. I have visited 35 countries and have worked in Sweden and reported to Asians. I was raised in the province, but have been based in Copenhagen for the last 23 years. I’m hooked on photography. And the outdoors - on a mountain bike, in a canoe or a kayak. The greatest leader, and possibly the greatest human being, of my time is Nelson Mandela. I wish there were more of his kind in the world.
