About Peter Klemencic

With more than 10 years of experience at the Slovene Consumers' Association (ZPS), now as the Head of EU Grants and Projects, I lead and manage the organisation's grant acquisition and project execution efforts in the field of consumer rights and clean energy transition. I have developed and implemented a successful EU grants strategy, aligned with the organisation's mission and goals, and continuously explore new opportunities for consumer engagement. As a project leader and mentor, I foster a collaborative and innovative environment for my team of dedicated project managers, ensuring high-quality project outcomes, grant compliance, and impact measurement. I am currently managing a major project myself: CLEAR-HP, which facilitates consumers' access to heat pump products, with the recently completed project CLEAR-X, which enabled consumers to invest in renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies. My core competencies include project management, project coordination, and marketing campaign management, which I apply to empower consumers to lead the clean energy transition, improve their quality of life, and protect their rights and interests in the EU market. I am passionate about working within a consumer organisation that shares my values and goals, and that offers me the opportunity to collaborate with diverse partners and stakeholders across Europe.
