About Peter Kotka

I am a Finnish native with over 20 years of experience in executive search and recruitment across Europe (CEE, DACH, Nordics), specializing in industries such as manufacturing, energy, oil and gas, natural resources, HVAC and construction, etc. Throughout my career, I have held senior positions at firms like Silvermont Associates/ Beaumont Group, SpenglerFox, and Edison Morgan. I have worked extensively across Central and Eastern Europe, Germany, Austria, and the Nordic countries, developing strong client relationships and managing executive-level assignments. I have focused on recruiting for C-suite, board-level, and senior management positions in mentioned sectors and much more. In addition to my professional expertise, I have a solid academic background. I hold a Master’s in Political Science from the University of Helsinki, Bachelor's in Public Administration from the Swedish School of Social Sciences and a Postgraduate Degree in HR Management from the University of Warsaw. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's in Czech Language and Literature at Charles University in Prague. Over the years, I have also gained a deep understanding of Polish and Czech languages and cultures, which has enhanced my ability to work in diverse cultural contexts. I speak six languages—Finnish, Swedish, Czech, Polish, English, and German—which allows me to effectively communicate and build relationships with clients and candidates from different backgrounds. Before transitioning into executive search, I worked as a nurse's attendant in hospitals in Finland and Sweden, where I gained valuable experience from patient care in geriatrics, oncology, and general surgery. This work in healthcare sharpened my interpersonal and communication skills, which I have since applied in my recruitment career. I am passionate about animals, history, ancient Egypt, philosophy, esotericism, and travel, I am enthusiastic about exploring languages and global cultures. This reflects my lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth, which continues to shape both my professional and personal life.
