About Peter Kovac

Expertise in the management of a family owned garment and textile company, a well known Montreal restaurant and a property development company. Most recently completed my certification as a Financial Security Adviser for London Life. Management skills in all facets of business including sales, administration, production and management. The family textile and garment business was recognized as a leader in the Canadian garment industry, with over 50 years of continuity and growth. The company was fully vertical from the manufacturing of knitted fabrics, design, cutting and sewing with a state of the art shipping and warehouse facility. With more than 350 employees the company always enjoyed a healthy relationship with its staff. I created and implemented most of the operation systems in the company to successfully overcome the complicated nature of the industry- Managed and operated a 700 seat restaurant for 10 years. The ability to adapt to change is one of the many positive characteristics of my personality. Turned a mediocre business into a very profitable restaurant and modernized many of the systems. The adjacent butcher shop supplied meat to the restaurant and also became a very profitable retail and wholesale business- During the past two years undertook the redevelopment of the restaurant land and converted the property into a sq ft shopping center that is fully operational. Responsible for the conception, leasing, financing and working with the general contractor to finalize the project.
