About Peter Lang

Welcome to my (only) professional presence on social media. I am a proud Public Servant. I love my various roles within Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) and it is truly rewarding working directly with offenders, victims of crime, Indigenous communities, Justice partners and my peers within CSC. My areas of interest include: Indigenous issues, Investigations, Recruitment, Case Management, Restorative Justice, Diversity, Values and Ethics, Politics, Media, and Writing. Lately, I have also recently taken a personal interest in Youth Justice and I believe the only way to reduce the over representation of Indigenous people in prison is to strengthen and empower our Indigenous communities, and the people within those communities, reaching our Youth before they come in contact with the Justice system. Culture, Education, Employment, and robust services in our communities (ie. Health Care) all play a crucial role in this achieving this goal. Prison should not be the first stop for Mental Health services. I am open to taking on new challenges and considering new opportunities in my areas of interest. This could be on a side project, as a volunteer on a board, or a permanent deployment within the Public Service. I am driven by interesting and meaningful work, not titles or pay cheques. I am proud to be Métis.
