About Peter Lin

I've always imagined myself growing up to be a pianist, lost in the flow of practice and constant improvement. Then I discovered the world of coding through my first Java ASCII art project in high school. I remember spending hours tweaking it until it finally produced this painting of waves with stars and lines. Even when I messed up, I was buzzing with new ideas on how to make it better. The journey of trial and error, culminating in the creation of a star-and-line masterpiece, ignited my love for the cycle of experimentation, failure, and eventual success. That's when I knew that I would pursue a career in Software Developing. My background in Applied and Computational Math Sciences from the University of Washington, with a focus on modeling and data visualization, has equipped me with a unique skillset at the intersection of software engineering, data analysis, and web development. I'm skilled in various languages, like Python, Java, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and SQL. And I'm always excited to learn new things, especially in areas like machine learning and scientific computing.
