It loosely distilled my years of commuting from London to Silicon Valley and the games people played. Then everything simply ended when my partner sold the company and cheated me out of millions. I retired to the Caribbean to lick my wounds but after a few months of watching cruise ships come and go I returned to London to start another, better, software publishing company. I missed the ' fake it til you make it' lawsuit-ridden world of Digital Research, Atari, and Commodore and relocated to California In 2018, having been immersed in the voraciously competitive and unforgiving Silicon Valley culture of the internet for some twenty five years, and building and selling one of the first pay-for-play websites, I wrote ANNA'S GAME. Switching between humor and satire as it describes how social media giant ZEN corp track and consume US citizens' data, CEO Anna decides to rebel against her Homeland Security paymasters to become ethical. The physical chase takes us across three continents, only for Anna to end up on top. 2020 saw the publishing of A CALIFORNIA COUP, the ironic tale of how ZEN, now with over 2 billion members and independent of the White House, takes the California governor under it wing as it moves to change society first in California and them Washington. Funded by micro-payments from its gamers, and determined to launch its cybercurrency to fund politicians for social housing and medicine, and conquer the word of finance.
