Throughout my career in both public and private sector personnel administration I have pursued the goal of simplifying the way we communicate and implement merit principles though training and the effective use of technology. While my main concentration remains job analysis for selection instrument design and position classification I also have extensive experience in performance evaluations, pre-disciplinary due process and wage and salary survey work. I am a frequent speaker at conferences, produced a video training program on position classification in the public sector and developed and promote a software program that facilitates the collection and reporting of wage and salary survey data. Recent projects include designing and implementing an easy to use performance evaluation system that helps supervisors and personnel professionals “Define Excellence” for the positions they supervise.
