Let's get to know each other. I will start with a statement: Digital transformation is an ongoing and profound process that is and will continue to shape our economy and society in the long term. For companies, this means the digitalization of their core business is necessary, and the future lies in new, disruptive business models. According to the motto:"Act or die, pretty soon"(The digital Transformer's Dilemma). In recent months, I could experience in my client meetings that many are talking about digitalization and are somewhere on the path of digital transformation with many project ideas. BUT: According to researchers Michael Wade and Jialu Shan, 85% of all digitalization projects fail. Failure means that the benefits hoped from the project do not materialize for the company. In his master's thesis at the University of Bayreuth, Maximilian K. Deist asked about the reasons and came to the conclusion that digital transformation projects fail because the necessary developments in corporate culture are neglected. It is a well-known fact that digitalization requires a change in culture and must be an accompanying part of the digital transformation process. This is about transparency, motivation, trust, team spirit, leadership and fault tolerance. Therefore, this is exactly what I stand for today: for a change in corporate culture in order to be able to operate successfully in the corporate environment in the future.
