About Peter Matthews

Peter Matthews is CEO of Global Reinsurance Consultants Ltd (‘GRC’) and GBS Insurance Services ('GBS'). He formed GRC back in to provide specialist services to the global insurance market. GRC is primarily involved in the complex field of worldwide reinsurance collections and commutations. In 2009 GBS was launched to assist companies with their commercial insurance needs no matter how big or small. Prior to setting up his own firms, Peter had over 15 years’ experience in insurance with Lloyd’s brokers, including Golding Stewart Wrightson and Bain Clarkson, together with specialist Consultancy firms. Peter is a practising member of the Insurance Institute of London (IIL) and a Chartered Insurer, having gained a number of distinctions in his ACII examinations. In the Practice of Reinsurance CII exam, Peter gained the highest marks in the country for the module that year. GBS is a premier fully independent commercial insurance broker based in the South East of England and has an extensive client base of all sizes including Manufacturers, Retailers, Franchisees, Fleet Owners, Contractors, Residential & Commercial, Charities, Landlords, Heritage Property Owners, Hospitality, Professional Firms and High Net Worth. Peter attends numerous events and networking meetings, which has helped GBS grow from strength to strength.
