About Peter McDonald

I have a desire to learn new things and try to solve any problems with a can do attitude regardless of the difficulty of the problem. I am a believer that anything can be accomplished as long as you are given the time and resource to achieve it. By taking this approach I have self taught myself advanced techniques in Excel and building on that with Power queries from SQL Studio / MySQL. I am also self teaching to write advanced SQL queries and how to combine these with the power of Excel. I can also write access queries and also use the same techniques. With these technique I have been able to develop powerful, professional looking reporting in excel which is easy to run and allows the time to spend checking the data rather than building the report. Combined with my many years of date entry, analysis and industry knowledge I have tackled many reports from analysis to budgeting and forecasts. Data is the key object. Provided the data is correct it's possible to turn data into anything that is required. In my spare time I am also an aspiring Indie Game Developer and pixel artist currently working on my own project.
