A dedicated and reliable Business Continuity Specialist. With extensive experience and proven expertise in developing and managing an organisation’s business continuity program. Demonstrated knowledge of operational risk management including partnering with business units to manage risks and identify controls. An ethical and integrity-based approach as Fraud Control Officer with experience completing internal reviews. Since joining eHealth NSW in September 2023, my key achievements include, facilitating 9 business unit BCP desktop exercises, 3 call tree exercises, updating 18 BCPs, updating the organisations crisis management plan and implementing quick reference guides and playbooks for key roles in both crisis management and business continuity. I have been instrumental in driving engagement and understanding across the organisation including quarterly updates with business unit stakeholders and by proactively working with business units to guide them and mentor key people. I am most proud of my work with business continuity skeptics in key areas that has seen them converted into strong supporters. Prior to eHealth, at APRA I coordinated 3 organisational crisis simulation exercises in 2014, 2017 and 2019 and the first divisional recovery plan desktop walkthrough exercises in 2021. My organisational and relationship management skills were key to the setting up of a Business Continuity Governance Council in 2019. Using my knowledge of the organisation and my subject matter expertise I drove awareness of business continuity by authoring the internal business continuity and emergency awareness online training and worked on modifying content in the government fraud training package to suit organisation needs. I am particularly proud of my work on the end to end uplift of business continuity and fraud control frameworks and programs at APRA between 2010 and 2015.
