About Peter Mooij
I'm working as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solution (AMS-Institute). My research focusses on creating valueble products from (urban) organic wastestreams using bacteria, algae and other lovely microorganisms. I have a PhD from the Delft University of Technology in microalgal biotechnology. To share the importance of a biobased society in general and algae in particular, I wrote a popular science book on microalgae. In addition, I co-founded the sustainable surf, skate- and music festival MadNes, together with four friends. More information can be found on my website:
