About Peter Morphew
An archivist, artist and arts administrator who is concerned with the management of information, records, originating from arts organizations, corporate businesses, higher education, and individual artist portfolios. I have completed major cataloging and appraisal projects working with the University of Glasgow Archives Special Collections, Scottish Theatre Archive, Scottish Business Archive, Swire Group Archives and The Welcome Trust. These experiences led myself to leading higher education archival programs at University of Gloucestershire and now Berea College.My professional life has become enjoyably more nuanced and complicated as I delivered a major exhibition of, and continue to manage the Grammy award winning artist Janis Ian’s archive. Berea College continues to become a marvellous space for professional growth as now I’m actively collaborating with our local community, delivering courses / classes, and managing hundreds of important Appalachian archive collections.
