About Peter Naim

I have over 25 years’ of executive and leadership experience, transforming cultures, transitioning workforces to new capability requirements, enhancing employee experiences, developing and delivering people strategies and achieving positive organisational change. During this time I have led large and diverse teams (up to 100+) across many locations,(including internationally) for well respected organisations such as BHP, Alcoa and Synergy. I have experience in all aspects of Human Resources, working closely with boards to deliver strategic outcomes. This includes People (HR) Strategy Development, Employee and Industrial Relations, Strategic Workforce Planning, Capability development and Progressive Talent Management practices, Business Partnership, Total Reward (including Executive Remuneration), Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Learning and Development, Operating Model/Organisation Design, Merger/Acquisitions, HR transformation, Change Management and Talent Acquisition. Key business achievements include: • Lead numerous operating model and organisation redesigns at executive, senior leader and for whole of business. • Implemented initiatives to remove gender bias from recruitment practices, reduce gender pay gap, increase indigenous employment, reduce psychosocial hazards. • Successfully integrated 2,500 contractors as part of an acquisition. TRIFR improved by 40%, turnover reduced by over 30%, engagement improved. • Designed Synergy’s ‘people first’ change management approach, critical to the success of Synergy’s co-created workforce Just Transition program. • Developed and executed numerous industrial relations strategies, saving tens of millions of dollars annually for several organisations. • Designed and implemented total reward strategies to support aggressive growth programs, and to reduce gender pay gaps, • Enable high performance teams. I consistently have top quartile and decile Gallup engagement scores for my teams, including increased engagement/culture scores whilst downsizing and outsourcing work to global entity.
