About Peter Nelson

I like lists! Software engineer- I approach software problems from two angles, in order of priority: 1. How will the end user use this software? How can I make their life better? How can I write this code to be more maintainable for the next engineer- It's corny, but I think of myself as a problem solver who happens to work in software. Sometimes the optimal solution is to not write any code and solve the user's problem in a way they hadn't considered- My Philosophy degree has been invaluable in my success as an engineer. Human- I generally prefer to not kill animals whenever possible (except for mosquitoes, they deserve no compassion whatsoever)- I really, really, really like water. Duluth tap water is to die for- I enjoy gaming, music (guitar, violin, singing), sports (ultimate frisbee, golf), and fitness (calisthenics, running).
