About Peter Newland

I am an architect with over thirty years’ experience and a partner for twenty-four of those years. I have focussed on healthcare and have an extensive knowledge covering a broad range of healthcare projects. I am currently working with the Royal United Hospital Capital Projects Team in Bath helping them on various development projects within the hospital. I enjoy the challenge of working on large and complex buildings including dealing with the complexities of large client organisations. My experience covers feasibilities, outline design, detailed design and construction. I take an active role in project management including cost control. I have built up long term relationships with clients though offering a personal, high quality and responsive service. I work closely with the client/ project group to help them understand both the construction and design process. My ability to carefully describe design solutions often overcomes the difficulties that many people have when viewing design drawings and understanding design proposals. I have a particular interest in disability and was for many years on the National Register of Access Consultants.
