About Peter Norris

I am a Partner in the Riyadh office of Latham & Watkins where I advise on a range of cross-border financing transactions involving Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the wider GCC region. I maintain a broad practice within the Finance Department, representing governments, sponsors, and financial institutions on a full complement of credit transactions, including banking, project finance, real estate finance, restructurings, and private credit. I have particular expertise in Shari'ah-compliant structuring, having worked as lead counsel on the Islamic finance desk of a major international investment bank. With over a decade of experience, I started my career as a trainee at Latham & Watkins in London in 2009, and enjoyed six months living and working in Saudi Arabia for Latham in 2010 / 2011. I have focused predominantly on the Kingdom ever since, spending a number of years in the Dubai office of the firm as an Associate, before resettling permanently in Riyadh in 2022.
