About Peter Novak

I'm a generalist UX designer with a broad skillset. As UX designer, my primary focus is UX strategy - from developing product strategy with PMs, through establishing research across the organisation, up to design systems standards. My secondary focus is research, having led several higher-scale researches. Lastly interaction design, which was where I started and grown from. I have visual design experience, but I am not a graphic designer nor do I aspire to. Even though the bulk of my career was in UX, for a part of my career I also worked as presales, PM and even developer. and then landed back in UX. However, the broad experience has allowed me to understand differing viewpoints that all people involved in the design process have. I also learned that empathising with others is the best way to move forward - and maybe even more importantly, to preserve my sanity in the ever shifting IT world. I'm a fan of boardgames, good coffee and craft beer. Feel free to invite me for a boardgame and lose.
