About Peter Ntege

Dr. Peter Ntege is Avenue Group’s General Manager – Hospitals, Homecare, and Pharmacies. Before joining Avenue Group in 2021, Dr. Ntege was the Chief Operating Officer at C-care IHK, the flagship hospital for C-care Uganda. While at C-care, he led the establishment of C-labs Uganda, a network of 19 laboratories across the country and the oversaw expansion in both infrastructure and clinical programs. Earlier in his career, Dr Ntege worked with AAR Healthcare Uganda in various positions including Head of Clinical Operations and Acting General Manager, and also served at Kampala Capital City Authority and Mild May Uganda. Dr. Ntege is a healthcare executive and healthcare investment advisor with 13 years of experience in multinational and private equity backed healthcare organizations in East Africa. He has fostered high-performance cultures, built winning teams, and promoted patient safety. He has overseen prioritization of capital deployment and optimization of investments, created cost effective healthcare models, led government and private stakeholder engagements, and nurtured successful physician relations. He has also served as board member at Uganda Performing Rights Society (UPRS) and at International Medical Foundation (Now C-care Foundation). Dr. Peter Ntege holds a bachelor’s degree in medicine & surgery (MBchB), a master’s degree in public health, and he is a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA). He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
