About Peter Oristian

I have many years of progressive management and supervisory experience in the Information Technology and Financial Services fields. I currently support The Department of Homeland Security Office of Biometric Identity Management and I am a Certified ScrumMaster®. I also supported the Department of Education’s Development Services Team enhancing the department’s web presence (EDWeb). I served as project manager with HII/Camber Corporation supporting the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AO), involving over 250 staff based in 3 locations across the nation. While at the AO I supported multiple offices and stakeholders all with unique needs, characteristics, management styles, and production requirements. While there, I was also responsible for recruiting, staff management, subcontractor management, program policy development & implementation, and program management reviews across multiple task orders. My 20 plus years of experience as financial advisor and registered principal entailed consulting with a wide range of clients from single individuals to large multi-million dollar corporations. To be successful, constant task and goal re-prioritization was required to meet their ever changing financial needs. Working with such a diverse client base has allowed me to develop a unique and all-encompassing customer service skill set. Success demanded effectively uncovering client’s needs, developing a sound financial model, communicate complex details and concepts, and implementing dependable solutions tailored to meet their unique financial goals. As a financial services principal, it was my sole responsible to mentor, train, and supervise multiple teams of financial advisors. My work in the heavily regulated financial services industry has provided him with a wealth of experience in adhering to complex compliance procedures; audit preparation and review; as well as developing and implementing post audit action plans.
