About Peter Orrahood

I was raised and have worked in South Korea, Germany, and multiple US states. My career has taken me from international Government jobs in education and radio to developing, training, executing, and driving sales strategies in large home service industries, along with helping to develop a scrappy startup into one of the leading home security companies within the United States. It has been an exhilarating adventure thus far, but a beautiful thing about life is that the future is ahead of us all.I enjoy volunteering when I have free time with organizations such as World Relief, with over 6 years of experience working directly with refugees to acclimate to the United States. I also support NGO's in my free time such as Justice For North Korea in their efforts to bring refugees to freedom. I write transgressive literature in my down time, and have had multiple books published since 2008.Being newly married to my wonderful wife Yajing, we have recently started a Youtube channel that mainly focuses around our travels.Professionally I take humbling encouragement when my departments and teams rank me with the highest employee satisfaction within a company. I always push for a fun, inclusive, equitable, and safe culture when working with companies to grow and scale their departments and teams. Listening to team members is never enough if they do not feel comfortable speaking with you. Building an environment where people want to go to work, encourage others around them, enjoy growing within, and helping cultivate future leadership is when I am at my happiest.I work well with programs on both Windows and Mac (OS) including Adobe Production Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Office Suite, Sagitta, Paperwise, Final Cut Pro, GIMP, HTML, and more as well. I speak fluent English and have moderate Korean and German language skills.Work that is not included on my linkedin includes government work for the US in South Korea and Germany. Also not included but available is years of sales management, compliance, e solution, import/export b to b sales, web design, product package design for a South Korean skincare company, international corporate English editing, promotional material design work with a South Korean University, and more.
