About Peter Pham

Having worked with a visually impaired diabetic professor from Fall 2016 to Spring 2021, I have been reminded daily of the importance of empathy and positivity beyond technical abilities. This experience has strengthened my belief that going above and beyond the "job description" is essential to creating a supportive, diverse, and inclusive work environment. I am committed to demonstrating kindness, compassion, and patience to the people around me regardless of their backgrounds, and believe that these qualities are just as important as technical skills in building successful teams. As a researcher, my research philosophy is to identify and understand the "human factor" behind the data. I have a passion for data analysis and a proven track record of delivering actionable insights, using tools such as E-Prime, SurveyMonkey, and Qualtrics. I have also contributed to successful research projects across a range of fields, including market research, social research, education research, and aging research. I am highly proficient in conducting data analysis and visualization using tools such as Microsoft Excel and SPSS. My expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, combined with my dedication and passion for continuous learning, have helped me stay at the forefront of the industry. I am confident that these skills, combined with my commitment to empathy and positivity will make me a valuable asset to any team. As a first-generation Asian-American, I overcame poverty and became the youngest of five to achieve a Masters in Psychology from CSULA. My journey has instilled in me a deep belief that everyone deserves access to quality education regardless of their background. I had the opportunity and honor to make a positive contribution in the academic field as a graduate teaching assistant for statistics and research methods courses. My experience in teaching and creating effective communication and learning systems has contributed to noticeable improvements in student performance and overall satisfaction, raising student's average grade and satisfaction scores by over 30%. I take pride in my ability to break down complex concepts and communicate them in a clear, concise, and easily understandable manner to ensure that the other party can fully understand these concepts. I am excited to connect with like-minded individuals and see how we can work together to make a positive impact through research!
