About Peter Rackowe

Peter Rackowe is a Senior Client Partner, Global Co-Head of Private Funds and leads the GFM practice in Japan. He is based in the firm's Tokyo office. Peter has over 25 years of direct executive search experience in the Asia Pacific region having been based in Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong in leadership roles. Peter specializes in advising private equity clients across asset classes/functions and leadership and succession needs across their various portfolio companies. In addition to his specialization in the broad alternatives space, he has conducted executive search in broader financial services including investment banking, capital markets and asset management related mandates. Before joining Korn Ferry, Peter spent 15 years with another global executive search firm latterly as Vice Chairman and where he established and built the Asia platform and led the international business, Europe and Asia, as President - International. Prior to this, he was in leadership roles at two of the global executive search firms. Peter holds an M.A. in Oriental Studies from the University of Cambridge. Peter is an active member of the Young President Organization (YPO) and a Founding Member of YPO Zen Pacific.
