About Peter Rajaram

I have been a part of Canada’s leading commercial real estate financing team since 2018. I started in commercial servicing before taking on my current role as Analyst on Team McAuley. First National Financial is Canada's largest non-bank lender, originating, underwriting and servicing both residential and commercial mortgages. As the number one lender of CMHC commercial mortgages, First National currently has more than $100 billion in mortgages under administration. The time I spent in commercial servicing gave me an opportunity to build my knowledge about borrower profiles, deal structures and the general market. I really immersed myself, digging into portfolios to understand precedents and making sure that I was dealing with stakeholder requests and frustrations in a professional manner. As an Analyst, I am focused on building strong, enduring client relationships. I like to apply a personal touch, getting to know clients both personally and professionally. When I have a full sense of a person, I can be more empathetic to what they are bringing to the relationship at any given time. I want clients to feel my genuineness and see the effort that I am putting forth for their success. As a collaborator and team member, I try to balance contribution and observation. I always want to gauge the culture and energy of our team and integrate with my colleagues effectively.
