An Oxford-educated linguist with in-depth knowledge of Middle East and South East Asian affairs and a total of 30+ years recruiting engineers and senior executives for international assignments. This includes 7 years spent in the UAE and Oman managing an international recruitment company providing senior engineers to the Oil & Gas, Energy and Construction sectors. 11 years were spent managing a Dubai based marketing consultancy office on behalf of a wide range of Australian manufacturers, contractors, consultants and exporters that spanned Defence, Marine, Petrochemicals, Transport, Tourism, Agriculture, Manufacturing and Education. Much of this work involved Defence Offset deals, technology transfers, manufacturing under license, joint ventures and agency/distributor selection. The last 25 years have been spent in Perth, Brisbane, the Middle East and South East Asia engaged in Executive Search work for C-suite Executives, General Managers, Project Directors, senior engineers and technical specialists, as well as other leadership roles.
