About Peter Richards

I have been involved in the provision of financial advice since 1990. Most of the advice is in conjunction with accountants in order to ensure our client's overall financial affairs are organised and optimised. At People + Partners we work in parallel with our clients, that is, we sit beside them and support them through investment market ups and downs, through regulatory changes and through the personal and lifestyle changes that we all experience. I am also involved in the provision of expert reports and litigation support in relation to financial planning and investment advice. This includes the determination of quantum. After running my own firm for 5 years I became a partner at PKF (now BDO) and ran the financial planning business (PKF Financial Services) from 1995 to 2007 whereupon I managed the sale of the business to Centric Wealth. After 5 years at Centric and travelling with my family I re-entered the financial advice world and the business has evolved into the full service firm it is today.I have been a lecturer at Kaplan since 1995 and am also a task force member for the Masters of Applied Finance - Financial Planning.Current member of the FPA Policy & Regulations Committee.
