About Peter Riedl

With a background in film studies and a strong foundation in film theory, history, and aesthetics, I have transitioned into the hands-on world of production and development. My journey has taken me from research and curation in film museums to working within the international festival circuit, as well as in film marketing and distribution. Through my participation in the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris postgraduate program, I deepened my understanding of international co-productions and financing. Since then, I have been actively involved in the production of independent films, overseeing projects from development to completion. My experience spans short films, factual entertainment, and content curation, allowing me to combine creative storytelling with the practical aspects of production. Beyond film production, I have been working as a freelance translator and editor, focusing on film-related editorial content and literary texts. This experience has further deepened my passion for storytelling and language while allowing me to refine my skills in content development and project coordination. I am always eager to explore new creative avenues that bridge my expertise in film, text, and translation.
