About Peter Rolland

My passion: Service improvement with a social conscience. My work has focused on improving the performance of organisations and systems - applying my wealth of knowledge in system developement and emotional intelligence in the workplace to create opportunity for sustainable culture change. Me: I am a knowledgeable professional, comfortable working within organisations and across networks. I am a Registered Nurse, with extensive experience at board level in national and regional organisations. My work: Trustee with Mental Health Matters. A member of the charity board and audit committee, steering the charity through turbulent times for mental health services. My role includes guiding and challenging the executive, supporting quality services through robust governance, ensuring financial stability, and revising the charity' strategy to create a strong platform for sustainable development. I have delivered successful programmes of change across the health and higher education sectors within organisations and across systems to improve healthcare and professional education services. My NHS work has included; • Spearheading the strategic leadership of national public policy initiatives. • The inauguration of new and specialist services. • Honorary lecturer on Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace at the City University of London and a guest lecturer at other respectable institutions.
